Find out more about Matthew's professional background
I am a registered art psychotherapist with the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and am registered to practice with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), both of which have an established code of conduct to which all state registered Art Therapists are subject in order to practice therapy.
I offer private therapy to individuals. I am also available to provide supervision to Art Therapists or other professionals of related creative therapies (for example Dance Movement Therapy or Music Therapy). I additionally offer training therapy to Art Therapist Trainees.
I have worked in clinical settings, primarily the NHS, since 2004. I have worked in Palliative and Cancer Care settings and Learning Disabilities and Child and Adult Mental Health Services. I have also worked in private practice with adults with eating disorders (sub contracted into the NHS).
I have lectured on evaluation and research projects with the local university and routinely evaluate the effectiveness of art psychotherapy within the NHS via a specifically designed research project.Enquire now
